Our Story


Eight years ago, Lauren and Frank were paired as two creatives in a media company. This was at a time when a brand having a Facebook page was cutting edge. Moments into the job and they were pitching for the agency’s first social media client, won it, then set to work on a new approach; combining the media planning teams with creative. In three years they had built a new creative team sitting at the heart of a media business. The rest is history. 
They co-founded DUO to build a mutually beneficial way of doing business, free from bickering agencies and neglected brands. In building bespoke teams of specialists around briefs, time and money is never wasted.


Best of all, putting creative and media together upfront - not as an afterthought.

With a background in visual communications and marketing strategy, Frances leads DUO's creative strategy (articulating the why?) and Art direction (giving a vision for the what and how) for the brands they work with, transforming how brands use content to innovate.

She has spent years learning and experimenting with traditional and modern creative media principles within branding. She has an insatiable appetite for ideas that are embedded in culture and reveals human truths in a positive, forward facing way.

Often described as the “quieter” half of DUO, she is deeply passionate about getting the right answer but not afraid to ask for help in getting there. That’s where the fun is!

Lauren has a background in creative industries ranging from both brand and agency side. She started her career in the retail industry working brand side for the likes of VF Europe and LVMH when she then transitioned into creative planning within a digital performance-marketing environment.

She has worked internationally - speaks fluent German with a grounding in French & Italian which has helped her shape the way DUO approaches different strategies - considering them from all angles.

Her focus with DUO is to help litmus test ideas, bring brand ideas to life - whilst looking for clever opportunities to build into digital brand planning.

She is an avid theatre goer, has a strange capacity for quoting movies and when she is not working - can usually be found on a horse around the Oxfordshire countryside!
